Time to Act is the world premiere recording of the chamber opera by composer Laura Kaminsky and librettist Crystal Manich. Set in Anywhere, USA, it follows Alona, a high school student seeking a new beginning in the aftermath of a devastating act of gun violence as she joins a drama club preparing Antigone. As hidden truths emerge, the students confront questions of identity, responsibility, forgiveness, and belonging. Recorded live at National Sawdust by the artists of Boston Conservatory at Berklee, conducted by Andrew Bisantz, produced by multi Grammy®-winner Elaine Martone.
