Paula Mlyn - Project Development & Public Relations

Paula Mlyn is an omnivorous classical music professional with more than thirty years of experience. A composer by training, she studied with Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Yehudi Wyner, song specialist Richard Hundley, and Samuel Barber protégé Charles Turner. Her songs have been heard in numerous venues and clubs throughout the New York area including Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall, Symphony Space, Trinity at One Concert series, and the Cornelia Street Cafe. Her work in the classical record business began in brick & mortar, and went on to include managing  concert series in NYC,  and Washington D.C.; editorial work for New World Records (DRAM); and finally to promotion and project development, where she now works with record labels: Naxos, Sono Luminus, DELOS, New Focus Recordings, and the New York independent label, Bright Shiny Things. Her work with composers has included projects with Derek Bermel, Žibuoklė Martinaitytė, Anna Thorvaldsdottir, and Jessica Meyer. She has also served as a producer on recent albums such as the critically acclaimed Your Clear Eye from soprano Jennifer Zetlan with composer and pianist Ricky Ian Gordon. A record collector since early childhood, she will soon need a larger apartment or a storage facility. Yes, physical. No comments, please.
