MotherLoad represents a collective catharsis, responding to the lullabies of childhood and the experience of becoming a parent through new works by seven mothers. Featuring new compositions by Norah Jones and Pete Remm, Jessica Rose Weiss, Dika Chartoff, Martha Redbone, Anne Drummond, Priya Darshini, and Tasha Warren, this album presents inspired “lullabies” shaped by each artist’s personal journey. Brought to life through the pairing of cello and clarinet/bass clarinet, performed by Dave Eggar and Tasha Warren, these works transform the lullaby into a shared act of reflection, offering solace not only to children but to those caring for the present and future world.
