Florent Ghys

Release Date: August 7, 2026

antisolo is an album recorded and produced by Florent Ghys in 2009 while he was living in Bordeaux, his hometown. It features layers of double bass multitracked and recorded at home in a distinctly DIY approach. The bass textures are interwoven with samples from TV shows, weather forecasts, and everyday sounds such as hair dryers, reflecting the collage-based, slightly absurd aesthetic characteristic of Ghys’s early work. The album concludes with a cover of an excerpt from “Djed” by Tortoise.
